This is the #1 question we get from all our pre-order customers.
TL;DR: We are on track, our confidence level is increasing, but we can't guarantee, yet.
This week, some of our team are in Shenzhen, inspecting every single step of the first iteration of the production pipeline with our manufacturing partner Srithar Bala (and many others) of Skyworth Digital. We call that Design Validation Test #1 (DVT1). We will have a full report of this test this coming Monday, and this will be a major milestone to keep us on track. I'll update here when that happens.
We still have 2 steps (DVT2, PVT) before we hit mass production (MP) for the end product to arrive at our warehouse in late November. We are doing our best to anticipate problems and mitigate them, but we also don't know what we don't know. This is nevertheless the first production batch of an entirely new product.
That's on the hardware side, on the software side, we are going through alpha and soon beta testing with real customers.
What we can promise is to keep you all up to date and if any issues come up that will delay our shipment, we'll make sure you are the first to know.
