This summer, we dreamed up something simple but powerful: what if we asked our community to tell us where Nex Playground could spark the most joy? That’s how Summer of Fun was born—a grassroots campaign inviting you to nominate your favorite organizations like libraries, community centers, and nonprofits that serve kids and families.
And wow, did this community deliver! We received 186 nominations from across the country, and 105 Nex Playgrounds have already been shipped and delivered, lighting up spaces where kids gather, learn, and grow. That’s thousands of little bodies moving, laughing, and connecting in brand new ways.
One of our Summer of Fun Playgrounds landed at the Graves–Hume Public Library, where librarian Jenifer Breasley couldn’t wait to put it to use. She shared:
“We recently held a video game night for 1st–8th graders and used the Nex Playground for our 1st–4th grade patrons. They had a blast playing it—moving their bodies, competing with each other, and just having fun. We’ll keep using it at game nights and in our programming to encourage movement and problem-solving skills. Thank you again for this opportunity; it’s already brought so much joy to our patrons!”
We can feel the excitement buzzing from her words. A library filled with kids laughing, running, and solving challenges together? That’s exactly why we started Summer of Fun.
This milestone wouldn’t have been possible without our amazing community of nominators, cheerleaders, and believers in the power of active play. Together, we hit our goal, and together, we’re making this summer one to remember.
Here’s to the next 100 Playgrounds and the joy they’ll bring!
