Now that we’re starting to ship the first wave of Playground units, we wanted to provide more details about game purchasing options and the Play Pass subscription model.
What is Play Pass?
Play Pass unlocks unlimited access to the full library of games and activities on Nex Playground as well as new drops throughout the year. This will include 20 titles by the end of December. We plan to launch with 15 at the beginning of the month, with 5 more “Coming Soon” by the end of December.
Do I need a Play Pass?
Play Pass is not required, but is highly recommended. Playground comes with 4 marquee titles included even if you do not have a Play Pass. We’re also hard at work to provide an à la carte purchasing capability early next year, so you can purchase games individually.
Buying a Play Pass
We offer our Play Pass in 2 purchasing models, both of which offer Quarterly (3-Month) or Annual (12-Month) plans.

Standalone Play Pass, can be purchased anytime - 📣 Available for purchase here!
Starting December 11th, a Play Pass can also be purchased anytime by scanning a QR code on Playground and completing the purchase on your mobile device.
Activating your Play Pass
After your credit card is billed for your subscription, our system will automatically generate an activation code and send it to you via the email you used to make the purchase. It’s important to keep this email, store it in a safe place for future use since you might receive the email before you receive your Playground device.

Once you enter your Play Pass activation code on your device, that’s it! You’ll instantly get access to the full catalog of Nex Playground games and activities. Also, the clock will not start on your subscription until it's activated on Nex Playground. So if you are giving a gift, rest assured that your subscription time won't start until activated.
Post-Purchase
When your Play Pass time is up, you will be billed for the next term automatically if you have an auto-renewing subscription. If you do not have a auto-renewing plan, then your Play Pass access will end. You can then buy a new Play Pass anytime, by scanning the QR code on your Playground device.
Managing your Subscription
You can check your next billing date, cancel your Play Pass, or update your credit card info by enrolling in our self-service portal here. Create a new account, or just link your Shop account to our portal for easy access.
